WebHost Manager (WHM) allows resellers and administrators to configure how customer support requests are handled. By setting up support request options, you can streamline communication between your customers and your support team.

Why Configure Support Requests?

  • Provide customers with a clear way to reach support.

  • Ensure requests are routed to the correct department.

  • Integrate WHM with your helpdesk or ticketing system.

  • Improve customer satisfaction with faster responses.

Configuring Support Request Settings

1. Access Support Configuration

  1. Log in to WHM.

  2. In the left sidebar, search for Support Requests.

  3. Click Configure Customer Support Requests.

2. Choose Support Options

On the configuration page, you can define how customers access support:

  • Support URL → Enter the link to your helpdesk or support portal (e.g., WHMCS, Zendesk).

  • Support Email → Provide a dedicated email address for customer inquiries.

  • Support Phone Number → Optional field for phone‑based support.

  • Support Request Form → Enable or disable the built‑in support request form in cPanel.

3. Customize cPanel Integration

  • When configured, customers will see a Support link in their cPanel interface.

  • Clicking the link will redirect them to your defined support portal or open the request form.

  • This ensures all support requests are centralized and easy to track.

4. Testing the Setup

  • Log in to a customer cPanel account.

  • Verify that the Support link appears in the interface.

  • Submit a test request to confirm it routes correctly to your helpdesk or email.

Notes

  • WHM does not manage tickets directly; it redirects requests to your chosen system.

  • For full automation, integrate WHM with WHMCS or another billing/helpdesk platform.

  • Always keep support contact details up to date to avoid customer confusion.
