Pydio (formerly known as AjaXplorer) is an open‑source file sharing and synchronization platform written in PHP. With Softaculous, you can install Pydio quickly and easily through cPanel.

Steps to Install Pydio

Log in to cPanel.

Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

Search for Pydio.

In the Softaculous dashboard, type Pydio in the search box.

Or browse under File Management → Pydio.

Click Install.

The installation page will open.

Choose Protocol.

Select
https://orhttps://wwwif your site has an SSL certificate. -
Select
http://orhttp://wwwif SSL is not installed.

Choose Domain.

Select the domain where Pydio will be installed.

Set Directory.

Leave blank if you want Pydio installed at the root (e.g.,
example.com). -
Enter a folder name (e.g.,
pydio) if you want Pydio installed atexample.com/pydio.

Configure Site Settings.

Site Name → Enter the name of your file sharing platform.

Site Description → Provide a short description of your platform.

Configure Admin Account.
-
Admin Username → Choose a unique username.
-
Admin Password → Use a strong password (Softaculous provides a strength meter or can generate one).

Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.

Database Settings.
-
Provide a database name or accept the default.

Configure table prefix if needed.

Advanced Options (Optional).

Configure automated backups and rotation.
-
Enable email notifications for updates.
-
Choose auto‑upgrade options for Pydio.

Install.
-
Review settings and click Install.

Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the Pydio login URL (e.g.,
example.com/pydio).
