Steps to Install OpenCart

Log in to cPanel.

Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

Search for OpenCart.

In the Softaculous dashboard, type OpenCart in the search box.

Or browse under E‑Commerce → OpenCart.

Click Install.

The installation page will open.

Choose Protocol.

Select
https://orhttps://wwwif your site has an SSL certificate. -
Select
http://orhttp://wwwif SSL is not installed.

Choose Domain.

Select the domain where OpenCart will be installed.

Set Directory.

Leave blank if you want OpenCart installed at the root (e.g.,

Enter a folder name (e.g.,
store) if you want OpenCart installed atexample.com/store.

Configure Store Settings.

Store Name → Enter the name of your shop.

Store Description → Provide a description of your store.

Store Owner → Enter the store owner’s name.

Store Address → Enter the physical address of your store.

Configure Admin Account.

Admin Username → Choose a unique username.

Admin Password → Use a strong password (Softaculous provides a strength meter or can generate one).

Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.

First/Last Name → Enter administrator details.

Database Settings.

Provide a database name or accept the default.

Configure table prefix if needed.

Advanced Options (Optional).

Configure automated backups and rotation.

Enable email notifications for updates.

Choose auto‑upgrade options for OpenCart.

Install.

Review settings and click Install.

Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the OpenCart login URL (e.g.,
