Steps to Install Roundcube

Log in to cPanel.

Navigate to the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

Search for Roundcube.

In the Softaculous dashboard, type Roundcube in the search box.

Or browse under Mails → Roundcube.

Click Install.

The installation page will open.

Choose Protocol.

Select
https://orhttps://wwwif your site has an SSL certificate. -
Select
http://orhttp://wwwif SSL is not installed. -
⚠️ Important: Because Roundcube handles login credentials, always use SSL connections.

Choose Domain.

Select the domain where Roundcube will be installed.

Set Directory.

Leave blank if you want Roundcube installed at the root (e.g.,
example.com). -
Enter a folder name (e.g.,
mail) if you want Roundcube installed atexample.com/mail.

Configure Site Settings.

Site Name → Enter the title for your Roundcube installation.

IMAP Settings →

Server Address: Your domain (e.g.,
example.com). -
Connection Type: SSL.

Port: 993.
-

SMTP Settings →

Server Address: Your domain (e.g.,
example.com). -
Connection Type: SSL.

Port: 465.
-

Admin Email → Enter the administrator’s email address.

Select Language.

Choose the default language for the application.

Database Settings.

Provide a database name or accept the default.

Configure table prefix if needed.

Advanced Options (Optional).

Configure automated backups and rotation.

Enable email notifications for updates.

Choose auto‑upgrade options for Roundcube.

Install.

Review settings and click Install.

Wait for confirmation. Softaculous will display the Roundcube login URL (e.g.,
example.com/mail).
