If you’ve built your site in Web Architect, you can publish it directly to your Ruachost hosting account using SFTP. This guide walks you through the setup and publishing process.

Steps to Publish with Web Architect

  1. Open Your Project

    • Launch Web Architect and open the website project you want to publish.

  2. Start Publishing

    • On the top menu bar, click Website → Publish Online.

    • The Manage Connection Profiles dialog box appears.

  3. Set Up Connection Profile

    • Select Default Profile, or click the green + icon to create a new one.

  4. Enter Server Details

    • Host name: Your domain name (e.g., example.com).

      • If DNS isn’t yet pointed, use your server’s hostname.

    • Protocol: Select SFTP (SSH).

    • Port: 22 (or your account’s custom SSH port, e.g., 7822).

    • Username: Your Ruachost/cPanel username.

    • Password: Your Ruachost/cPanel password.

    • Start directory: /home/username/public_html/

      • Replace username with your cPanel username.

      • Add a subdirectory if you want to publish into a folder.

  5. Save Password (Optional)

    • To avoid retyping your password each time, check Save password.

  6. Test Connection

    • Click Test profile.

    • If successful, you’ll see Connection successfully established.

    • If not, verify your settings and try again.

  7. Publish Your Site

    • Click OK to save.

    • Web Architect uploads your files to Ruachost.

    • When complete, you’ll see Success: Publishing completed!

  8. Verify Your Site

    • Open your domain in a browser to confirm your site is live.
