If you’ve built your site in RapidWeaver and are ready to take it live on your Ruachost hosting account, you can publish directly from the application using SFTP. This guide walks you through the setup.

Important

  • Make sure your domain is pointed to Ruachost nameservers.

  • Have your cPanel/hosting account username and password ready.

  • Know your server name or domain name.

Steps to Publish with RapidWeaver

  1. Open Your Project

    • Launch RapidWeaver and open the project you want to publish.

  2. Open Publishing Setup

    • In the top-right of the project window, click Publishing Setup.

  3. Configure Manually

    • In the Other Methods list, select Configure Manually.

  4. Set Destination

    • Next to Untitled Destination, click Edit.

    • Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Ruachost Website).

  5. Choose Publishing Method

    • From the Publishing Method dropdown, select SFTP.

  6. Enter Server Details

    • Server: Your domain name followed by :22 (e.g., example.com:22).

      • If your server uses a different SSH port (e.g., 7822), use that instead.

      • If your domain isn’t yet pointed to Ruachost, use your server’s hostname instead.

    • Username: Your Ruachost/cPanel username.

    • Password: Your Ruachost/cPanel password.

    • Path: public_html (or a subdirectory if you want to publish to a folder).

    • Website Address: https://yourdomain.com/

  7. Test Connection

    • Click Test.

    • If successful, you’ll see Connection Test Successful.

    • If not, double-check your username, password, and port.

  8. Publish Your Site

    • Click Publish in the top-right corner.

    • RapidWeaver will upload your files to Ruachost.

    • When complete, click Visit Website to view your live site.

Troubleshooting

  • Couldn’t sign in to your SFTP server → Verify username, password, and port.

  • Files not appearing on site → Ensure you’re publishing to public_html.

  • SSL/HTTPS not showing → Clear browser cache or SSL state after publishing.
