Installing Ubercart for Drupal

Ubercart is an open‑source eCommerce module for Drupal that allows you to build and manage online stores. It integrates seamlessly with Drupal’s CMS features, making it a popular choice for businesses that want to combine content and commerce.

Steps to Install Ubercart (Manual Installation)

1. Prerequisite: Install Drupal.

   • Ubercart is a Drupal module, so you must have Drupal installed first.

   • If you don’t have Drupal yet, install it via Softaculous or manually on your ruachost.com account.

2. Download Ubercart.

   • Visit Drupal.org Ubercart project page.

   • Scroll down to the Downloads section.

   • Download the .zip file that matches your Drupal version.

3. Upload Ubercart Module.

   • Log in to your Drupal site as the administrator.

   • Go to Modules → Install new module.

   • Click Browse, select the Ubercart .zip file from your computer, and click Install.

4. Enable Ubercart Modules.

   • After installation, scroll down to the UBERCART – CORE section.

   • Select the checkboxes for required components.

   • Ubercart depends on other modules such as CTools, Entity, Rules, and Views.

   • If a checkbox is disabled, install/enable the missing dependency first.

5. Enable Optional Modules.

   • You can also enable modules under:

     • UBERCART – CORE (OPTIONAL)

     • UBERCART – EXTRA

     • UBERCART – FULFILLMENT

     • UBERCART – PAYMENT

6. Save Configuration.

   • Click Save configuration.

   • Once enabled, a Store link will appear in the top menu bar.

7. Customize Your Store.

   • Click Store to configure products, categories, payment gateways, shipping methods, and checkout options.
